Bytes Document Solutions (BDS) scooped the Customer Service Excellence Award at Xerox Corporation’s annual partner conference, held in Dubai on 21 and 22 January 2015.
While the Xerox Year Start event focused on the new direction and growth strategy in the Middle East, outperformance in the regional markets and increasing equipment sales in 2015, the company and its partners also took the opportunity to celebrate successes and growth in channel partner networks and to reward the excellence of 2014.
BDS, which services 26 sub-Saharan African countries, was measured against a number of criteria including:
• Alignment with Xerox Corporation goals and programmes.
• Service modernisation.
• Service as a business.
• Service efficiency programmes.
• Post sales offerings to customers.
• ASP programmes.
• Provision of support to a wider community.
• Leadership and full portfolio support.
Johan Basson, CEO of BDS said, ‘In each of these categories we aspired to, and were more than compliant, setting the benchmark for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. I am proud of our team’s achievement as it highlights the fact that BDS is among the top Xerox partners in the world when it comes to customer service, which is what drives our business and forms the basis of the Xerox brand. I congratulate our people for this excellent achievement. Our organisation is honoured to receive this recognition and grateful to Xerox for the acknowledgment.’
More than 150 Xerox staff members and partners representing 89 countries from across the Middle East, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe, took part in the meeting to review last year’s milestones and market trends, as well as strategies for 2015.
‘Our partners play a key role in helping us continue our leadership in the document technology arena,’ said Dan Smith, GM for Integrated Marketing for the Middle East and Africa region of Xerox’s Developing Markets Operations. ‘We are a partner-centric company, bringing a broad range of offerings and revenue growth opportunities to value added resellers and independent agents. Events such as these are a great platform to recognise our partners in the region and demonstrate our commitment to them.’
Xerox has maintained its EMEA stronghold for decades through numerous global launches across different product segments. At the top of the list are office and production solutions, next generation MPS and the core Xerox technology offerings. The company aims to continue its influence in the region through increasing its partnership base.
‘One of our main objectives of 2015 is to seek partnerships that will further strengthen our value proposition to our customers in the region. The printing and the technology industry is constantly evolving and growing and we are thrilled to be part of it,’ added Smith.
