Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd is set to inspire visitors with products that give a competitive advantage through cutting-edge and environmentally friendly technologies, on its stand at Africa Print expo, taking place from 2-4 July 2014 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.

Antalis Director Marketing and Purchasing, David James said, ‘We are very excited to be part of the first ever FESPA AFRICA, which is being co-located with Africa Print, and we wanted to translate this into a display of products that can create meaningful benefits for businesses,’

Antalis recognises its responsibilities to identify and reduce the adverse impacts on the environment resulting from its activities, products and services. It also has a responsibility to its customers to provide them with the most cost-effective products.

‘Winning the best large stand in 2013 at Sign Africa/Africa Print Expo has inspired Antalis to once again showcase the benefits of our product offering through smart design that will promote our range of environmentally friendly products,’ said Caroline Coughlan Marketing Manager Antalis.

The Antalis stand will be in Hall 2 F1 and Coughlan encouraged businesses to visit the stand and experience the latest LED technologies. ‘Our stand has been designed to be interactive and tactile so visitors will not just see the products but experience them through touch, feel and even smell.’

‘We live in a world of rapid change and so we know how important it is to invest in equipment now that will also meet your changing needs in the future. This will be our focus at Africa Print. We will be showcasing EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro featuring the latest LED technology from EFI, and the Kongsberg XN 24 Cutting table as well as the EPSON SureColor SC-S30610 large format printer for the signage industry,’ said Coughlan.

EFI GS3250LX Pro:

‘The EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro showcases the benefits of cool curing through its LED technology. By reducing waste and saving power, the GS 3250LX Pro will cut down on printing costs,’ said Herbert Uren, Product Manager: Visual Communication, Antalis.

Kongsberg XN 24 table:

Ronnie Louw, National Sales Manager Equipment, Antalis, said that the beauty of the Kongsberg XN 24 table is that tooling and functional add-ons can simply be retrofitted in the field to meet future needs. ‘We had a choice of various Kongsberg tables to bring to the show. We chose the XN 24 table because it meets the needs of so many industries, such as sampling, packaging, visual communications, and stand and display finishes and it can be fitted with different tools, software and heads to meet a business’ ongoing needs. At the show we will have a Kongsberg XN 24 table with all the capabilities and changes to it so it can be configured to suit the needs of any business.’

EPSON SureColor SC-S30610:

According to Uren, the versatility of this printer makes it a winner. ‘The Epson SureColor SC- S30610 offers an affordable, high quality entry into signage printing. The indoor and outdoor applications of this printer cover a wide variety of printable materials, from wall paper to vehicle graphics.’

KODAK NEXPRESS DIGITAL PRODUCTION COLOUR PRESS

This press enables you to print panoramic posters, dust jackets, 6- and 8-page brochures and more with the long sheet pile feeder. It also enables new applications with increased productivity and maximum flexibility.

The press allows you to print sheets up to 356 x 914 mm (14 x 36 inches) with the long sheet pile feeder from Baumfolder and the larger sheet size means you can produce even more applications to meet diverse market needs.

The long sheet pile feeder also supports the same range of sheet sizes as the Kodak NexPress press. ‘It allows sheets from the press drawers to be inserted in the job stream along with sheets fed from the pile feeder. This brings the total number of substrate types that can be fed into a single job up to five and printing is likely on most litho offset stocks,’ said Louw.

He said that the market differentiator for the press is the fifth imaging unit: ‘This allows for the utilisation of colours such as RGB to increase the colour gamut. The same unit also lets you add enhanced printing features such as clear coating, spot varnish, dimensional ink metallic gold, red fluorescent, pearlescent and mica inks for security check printing.’
