With its plate manufacturing plants in Germany and UK are already certified according to the ISO50001 standard by LRQA (Lloyds Register Quality Assurance), Agfa Graphics is one of the first companies worldwide to adopt this new energy management standard. Every other Agfa Graphics plant in the world is now working towards certification in 2013 or 2014 building on the expertise.
It is clear ISO 50001 is an important goal for many leading companies and that this management standard is set to become increasingly important in the future, said Graham Cooper, Agfa Graphics Global Manager of the Sustainability and Energy Reduction Programme (SERP). Our SERP programme, with ISO 50001 playing a key part, helps us to better manage our energy usage. It has already resulted in multi-million euro efficiency savings worldwide comparing 2011 with 2012. With our complete worldwide capacity managed to a standard many companies aspire to, Agfa Graphics is clearly an Industry Leader.
