Africa Print expo organisers Practical Publishing are planning an exciting 2018 calendar with a new location in Mauritius. Other events will be hosted in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Zambia.
South Africa is the gateway into Africa and there is a demand for the Africa Print organisers to host events over the borders. Mauritius is a platform for the Indian Ocean islands, such as Reunion, Seychelles and Comoros. According to Board of Investment Mauritius, 'By leveraging its strategic position at the crossroads of Africa, Asia and Australia, Mauritius is gradually transforming itself into a hub and an international jurisdiction for investors in search of security, transparent regulation and high value-addition.'
The Africa Print expo will also return to Zambia after a successful 2017 launch, in which exhibitors reported very positive feedback and a desire to return to the region. The event also attracted visitors from Zimbabwe, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
A visit from the Honorable Japhen Mwakalombe, Lusaka Province Minister, and representatives from the Government Printers to the 2017 event was a significant step in forming relations with the Government of Zambia and the Expo organisers. He urged South African investors dealing in printing to invest in Zambia.
Zambia and Mauritius are exciting territories for exhibitors that would like to expand their reach into Africa.
In addition to the regional expo's, the flagship Africa Print expo, co-located with FESPA Africa, Sign Africa and Africa LED, will be held in Johannesburg at Gallagher Convention Centre from 12-14 September 2018. The strapline for the 2018 event is 'Where Print Takes Off', and visitors to the events can take off with opportunities in: solutions for digital printing presses, binding equipment, wide format digital, digital packaging solutions, screen printing, digital textile printing, finishing equipment, ink, software, pad printing, paper and board, litho print solutions, encapsulating/laminating and digital label printing. The 2017 event reported its highest unique visitor attendance to date, with next year expected to be an even bigger success.
