In a complex logistical process, a used Goss M600 was carefully dismantled, transported and reassembled at a customer’s premises. Over 5000 kilometres as the crow flies, manroland Goss successfully completed an extensive press relocation from Thailand to Jordan.

After a smooth relocation, the commissioning of the Goss M600 marks a milestone in the cooperation with the printing specialist Al Noor Printing Press and the project broker Graphic Supplies Co. Ldt., which also opens up promising prospects for further cooperation.

Since the Goss M600 became the first web offset press to go into production at Al Noor Printing Press, the printing specialist’s printing processes have improved significantly. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the commissioning of the Goss M600 also marks a significant step in increasing the capacity of the print specialist, which prints school textbooks, among other products.

Osama Al Abbasi, Executive Director of Al Noor Printing Press, is positive about the opportunities presented by the newly installed printing press: ‘The Goss M600 is a printing press from manroland Goss that impresses with outstanding quality and a high degree of automation. Thanks to the web-fed technology, we can now significantly improve our printing performance and are excited about the increase in print possibilities.’

The logistical complexity of a press relocation requires the highest level of professionalism, successful teamwork and comprehensive know-how of the press and printing process. At manroland Goss, customers receive the complete package from a single source. In this case, the order was coordinated and implemented by the team from the manroland Goss market organisation in Singapore. With their proven expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Goss M600 printing press, they managed the inspection of the press, the dismantling in Thailand and the subsequent commissioning at the new site in Amman, Jordan. The close cooperation between the teams involved led to a smooth project flow and ultimately to the successful commissioning of the Goss M600.

Weehong Soon, manroland Goss Singapore, is satisfied with the team’s performance, ‘We did an excellent job of teamwork on the press relocation for Al Noor Printing Press. The process from sales and dismantling to installation and commissioning was handled by the same group, which enabled us to implement the project smoothly. As a result, the customer was able to operate their machine in top quality in the shortest possible time.’

The successful commissioning of the M600 marks the beginning of a promising partnership between the contract printer Al Noor Printing Press and manroland Goss and opens up new opportunities for comprehensive cooperation. The relocation order was procured for the first time by project partner Graphic Supplies Co. Ldt., which has been manroland Goss’ new sales and service partner in Jordan and Palestine since the project was completed. Manroland Goss values Graphic Supplies Co. Ldt. as an important intermediary between the Augsburg-based printing press manufacturer and the Middle East and welcomes the future cooperation.
