2013 MARKS 55TH ANNIVERSARY FOR POLAR PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT

1043

POLAR is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its peripheral equipment. In 1958 POLAR built the first peripheral units to optimise the processes around its high-speed cutter and has sold thousands of units over the years.

Through vision and knowledge, the entrepreneur Adolf Mohr created machines more than a hundred years ago which POLAR is still developing today.  Accordingly, POLAR has adapted their peripherals to meet and optimise customers’ needs and this has lead to an impressive product portfolio of performance increasing components for the processes of loading, jogging, buffering, unloading and banding.

In 2007, for example, the AntiStickKnife was  developed for cutting glued materials such as adhesive labels. The patented anti-stick coating prevents glue residue from accumulating on the knife. This leads to an increase in productivity of up to 30 per cent.
