The company has launched the :Energy Elite Pro which features a higher sensitivity (up to 20% faster) and supports greater variations in exposure conditions. The printing plate ensures excellent tonal range and high line screen capability (1-99% @ 200 lpi, :Sublima XM screening, and 20 micron) thanks to the enhanced dual layer coating technology. It delivers sharper and more robust print quality over longer runs, even under heavy duty conditions.
The chemical resistant second layer and the improved mechanical resistance enable longer run lengths under aggressive press conditions including UV inks, without the need for baking. By increasing bath life and lowering replenishment rates (50ml/sqm), the company helps customers reduce waste and improve process sustainability.
Agfa’s advanced no bake thermal plate technology typically serves the high demanding printing environments, said Dave Carey, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Prepress at Agfa, North America. :Energy Elite Pro is fast in processing, offers high image quality on long runs and is a robust plate, so it is best suited for demanding commercial applications without the need for baking.
The plate is designed for use with the widest variety of plate setters and thermal processors including Agfa Graphics recently introduced high speed :Avalon N8-80XT.
