Some of BALDWIN Vision Systems’ (BVS) solutions that will be presented for its growing portfolio of colour management and defect detection technology include Register Guidance with MultiCam TRIM, Remote Ink Control, Color Control with AccuCam and more.
These solutions will be presented at PRINTPACK INDIA 2019, being held from 1-6 February at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, NCR Delhi. BVS will be co-located with AMS Spectral UV, another business segment of Baldwin Technology Company.
‘We are introducing some exciting new innovations, along with powerful new features to our proven technology,’ said Hemant Desai, Director for BALDWIN Vision Systems, India. ‘Register Guidance with MultiCam TRIM is a highly economical, advanced colour-to-colour register and cut-off control for newspaper printers, based on the same technology as our performance-proven MultiCam.
‘Our Remote Ink Control provides ink fountain automation with CIP-3 presets for enhanced print quality, make-ready and run-waste savings. Color Control with AccuCam offers image-based colour control along with in-line scumming detection, plate verification, and water control from the same sensor. And our powerful, proven SpectralCam delivers L*a*b* data for precise, cost-effective colour management.’
For packaging and converting, BALDWIN Vision Systems is introducing Guardian PQV advanced 100% defect detection for the entire production process. The new Guardian Real-Time Monitoring (RTM) uses a central server to monitor, collect, and display real-time inspection data for multiple presses and jobs — even across multiple plants. Autotron 3600 enables users to achieve complete control with the next-generation colour register control solution for packaging production. Color Measurement with DeltaCam helps users deliver absolute colour consistency press-to-press, shift-to-shift and plant-to-plant.
‘In this region alone, we currently have systems controlling colour register on more than 550 newspaper and commercial presses — roughly 1600 towers/webs, and also more than 450 flexible packaging presses,’ added Desai. ‘We are well equipped to assist our customers because of our geographical reach, our experience, and our history of serving printers in this region for last 27 years, with more than 1000 systems installed.’
