Kemtek, along with offset print partners Komori, Baldwin UV Technologies and Fujifilm, plus Siegwerk Inks, will be hosting Printology 18 seminars in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town respectively, unveiling cutting-edge developments in accelerated drying technologies, low-chemistry platemaking and UV inks.

Leading with the theme, ‘Innovate to Create’, Tony Carter (head of distributor sales, Komori International Netherlands B.V) will be focusing on the progress and developments of H-UV low energy, accelerated drying and how this, coupled with innovative technology, is allowing offset printers to evolve their businesses into responsive and flexible manufacturing entities. A review of some worldwide success stories will be used from the packaging, commercial and added value markets.

‘Today, with so much information available, we disseminate the truth from the fake news,’ stated Carter. ‘Any printer who wants to understand what is really being achieved through the combination of process and technological development should attend Printology 18. We even have an exclusive virtual reality video that will transport delegates to different locations to enhance their experience.’

Among the programme highlights, Fujifilm will be revealing why numerous printers worldwide are opting for its maintenance-free plate system that’s capable of delivering a run of 150,000 impressions with just one set of plates, enabling longer runs with less plate remakes and press downtime versus conventional plate technologies.
