The new Ricoh Pro V20000 series continuous feed inkjet platform is compact, versatile and easy to use. The system features applications that include transactional print such as bills, statements and policy documents, as well as books, direct mail and pharmaceutical leaflets.
The system brings competitive mono and colour production to existing continuous feed and sheet fed printer users who want to consolidate output from multiple devices to a single machine. It can fit in almost any production environment since it has a footprint of just 4,3sqm.
Users with different volume requirements can benefit from the three versions being announced: the 75 metres per minute 600 x 600dpi mono Ricoh Pro V20000; the 150 metres per minute 600 x 600dpi mono Ricoh Pro V20100; and the 75 metres per minute 600 x 600dpi CMYK Ricoh Pro VC20000.
‘This platform will work with a variety of papers, including lightweight materials for the pharmaceutical industry,’ said Vaughan Patterson, product marketing operations manager for commercial and industrial print at Ricoh SA. ‘They are also optimised to work seamlessly with inline finishing equipment where it’s important to be able to change speeds to match the capabilities of each device to get the most benefit for production and minimise paper waste.’
This system complements Ricoh’s existing Pro VC40000 and Pro VC60000 continuous feed inkjet printers. The three systems now offer an upgrade path for existing toner-based operations and the improved operational efficiency, faster running speeds and lower operating costs, which often make it possible to replace several aging toner machines with a single inkjet device.
The device helps customers enter new markets. It enables intelligent and efficient book production in combination with Ricoh’s TotalFlow BatchBuilder software. It also provides a complete, secure pharmaceutical solution when combined with FusionPro and Ricoh Process Director.
