The company showcased an innovative instrument that measures both density and colorimetric values at the expo in Barcelona. It is equipped with new optical technology that not only offers excellent cost performance but also leaps ahead of competitors by offering M1 (D50) measurement conditions, providing results that correlate closely with visual evaluation.

Demands for certification continues to increase. For offset printing, evaluation of conference to ISO 12647-2 requires not only density measurement but also accurate colorimetric measurement. The FD-5 offers both density and colorimetric measurements with high accuracy at a low price.

One possible cause of differences between the results of visual evaluation and instrument evaluation is differences between the illumination used for visual evaluation and the illumination used by the instrument for evaluation. The FD-5 can provide measurement results under various illuminants and measurement conditions.

The main body weighs only about 350g, and even with the target mask attached, its only about 430g, lighter than any previous spectrodensitometer. This reduces the load on the users arm during work, improving efficiency when taking measurements over a long time.
