Arctec had a successful exhibition at the Africa Print Durban event, held at the Durban International Convention Centre from 19-20 April. Among an assortment of products on display was the Swedex pouchjet pro II laminator.
The machine, when combined with the Swedex smartpouch, forms the fastest and smartest laminating system in the world. Easy to use and error free, it is ready to start in less than 55 seconds and can laminate 10 documents in under a minute (for example using an A4 smartpouch on turbo mode).
The SMARTPILOT takes over the complete laminating procedure. It identifies the inserted smartpouch automatically and decides at which speed and temperature the smartpouch should be processed, without any adjustments needed.
Applications include:
• Indoor and outdoor signs (self-adhesive).
• Labelling of racks and files.
• Protection of legal documents and nameplates.
• Permanent protection of photographs and artistic prints.
• Permanent protection of documents subjected to severe stressing.
The swedex smartpouch laminating film consists of high-quality and recyclable plastic polyester, ethylenevinyl-acetate (EVA) and polyethylene, making it PVC free. The plastic compound protects documentation against moisture, dust, dirt and harmful UV radiation. The processing and storage of the swedex smartpouches is free of plasticisers and solvents. Furthermore, the base material is free of heavy metals. This is especially important because no poisonous substances such as mercury can be released from the laminating film in case of contact.
