The Label Industry Global Awards 2017 is open for entries. This competition is for those whose commitment to excellence is an inspiration to others and label and package printing professionals who strive to drive up standards, turn challenge into advantage, break boundaries and achieve greatness.

The awards include:

R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award

Sponsored by Avery Dennison, this prestigious award is given to a nominated individual who has served at least 25 years in the industry.

Award for Innovation

This is sponsored by Flint Group Narrow Web. Submit details of developments in technology and business practices in the last year. The award consists of two prizes; one for companies with over 300 employees and the second for organisations with less than 300 employees. Entries must be for the development of a specific innovation in 2016 and can either be for a new business process or technology-related. Jindal Films Americas won 2015’s award for its development of a white surface-printable polyolefin film, Platinum Thermal. Eshuis BV won the second Innovation Award (for companies with less than 300 employees), for the production of its three-layer bow label for Coca-Cola bottles.

Award for Sustainability

This award is sponsored by Xeikon and acknowledges a new sustainable product or process that has been introduced during 2016. Dow Chemical Company triumphed in this category last year for its Chemical Sustainability Tool initiative that was designed to let teams quickly evaluate sustainability opportunities, document their thoughts and create an effective visual way of communicating the results.

Entry is free. Simply download the form(s) for the award you wish to enter, complete your entry and submit it (along with any supporting material) by Friday, 19 May 2017. Late entries cannot be accepted.

Judging will take place during the FINAT Congress in Berlin in June and the short lists (along with the winner of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award) will be published shortly afterwards.

Award winners will be announced at the prestigious Label Industry Global Awards 2017 in Brussels. It’s attended by label and package printers from across the globe.

The awards presentation is held at Brussels Expo, during Labelexpo Europe 2017, on the evening of Monday 25 September.
