Erhardt + Leimer’s (E+L) SMARTSCAN systems were recently installed at Spec Systems, following the appointment of ROTOCON as the local agent in South Africa. Another four customer orders have been scheduled for delivery.

These include their ELSCAN print monitoring system, web guiding systems and various sensors, to name just a few.’ Two E+L SMARTSCAN systems were recently installed at Spec Systems, on their new RCSI 330 ROTOCON slitter rewinder machines.
Jacques van Jaarsveld, Spec Systems’ Johannesburg operations manager commented, ‘The RSCI 330 machine is so simple to operate that it was installed on a Wednesday and fully operational by Thursday, running at a speed of about 200m/min. In addition, the E+L SMARTSCAN inspection feature requires minimal machine operator training because of its ease of use and one-touch set-up compared to around five steps for competitive machines.’
E+L joins other prestigious agencies in the ROTOCON suite, including AVT, ROTOCONTROL, MPS, Matho, Screen, Pantec GS Systems and Wink.
