The Africa Print Polokwane Expo that took place on 7 April was hailed by exhibitors as a resounding success. An eager crowd of over 270 industry professionals packed the Meropa Conference Centre from 9am and spent the day interacting with exhibitors that showcased solutions to Connect, Diversify and Grow businesses.
Visitors came from all over Limpopo, including: Polokwane, Tzaneen, Burgersfort, Mokopane, Phalaborwa, Bela-Bela and Louis Trichardt, to name a few.
Printing SA hosted an informative Members Forum with over 24 companies in attendance. The forum discussed topics such as: Training in the Printing and Packaging Industry; introducing the New Digital Print Training Programme; apprenticeships in the Printing and Packaging Industry and Printing SA’s skills Pool.
Visitors said that the expo in Polokwane was a valuable opportunity to see a wide range of suppliers and explore solutions to grow their businesses without the need to travel to Johannesburg, which is sometimes difficult.
Exhibitors took the opportunity to showcase new products to customers and meet new customers from the region. Exhibitor feedback about the event was positive:
'The show exceeded our expectations. It was busy the entire day with visitors showing great interest in our products,' said Charl Ferreira, JG Electronics.
'The show was awesome with a great attendance, nice vibe and the visitors were serious about looking for solutions. All exhibitors put together great stands,' said Kevin du Toit, Nashua.
'It was an excellent turnout and was really good in terms of the exposure we received in Limpopo. We look forward to the next expo,' said Sagran Chetty, Hitech Graphics.
'The expo was fantastic and it was great to interact with exhibitors too. We got a few new customers that are starting up businesses and the visitors were serious buyers,' said Pieter Pieters Canon.
Each stand was judged at the expo according to criteria based on design and staff friendliness and professionalism. The stand winners include:
