Duplo introduced the 350R In-line Booklet System, a reliable booklet-making solution that integrates the Duplo DBM-350/T Booklet maker and Trimmer with the Ricoh Pro C9100/8100/7100 series of production printers.

The system is capable of producing up to 3000 A5 booklets per hour, the DBM-350/T easily accommodates a range of on-demand applications such as CD and DVD covers through to A4 and A3 booklets of up to 80 pages, making it also ideal for finishing reports, manuals, product brochures and marketing materials.

The heavy-duty deluxe stitching heads boost productivity while the book spine press enhances the professional look and feel of the finished booklet. The settings of the spine press can easily be adjusted to match the thickness of the booklet.

The DBM-350/T provides a highly cost-efficient way to produce multiple applications to help customise different jobs.

The small booklet kit enables the DBM-350/T to produce centre-stitched, saddle-stitched or folded products while the optional corner stitch kit offers the opportunity to process side-stitched and corner-stitched applications.

Terry Wafer, product manager, at Duplo International commented, ‘The Duplo DBM-350/T bookletmaker and trimmer provides an automatic, fast and highly productive solution that can produce different styles of booklets with no fuss, making it ideal for modern creative bookletmaking requirements. The DBM-350/T allows inplants, printing departments, digital and commercial printers to bring these finishing operations in house, helping them to reduce costs and turnaround times.’

There is no need for manual intervention on the DBM-350/T, the easy touch button set-up makes switching jobs effortless. By simply entering the parameters of a job, all stitch, fold and trim positions are automatically adjusted. The simple and easy to use touch screen panel guides operators efficiently through the set up process and with the ability to memorise up to 20 jobs, operators can quickly switch between different work.

The ability of the DBM-350/T to handle set-by-set and sheet-by-sheet output with equal ease means that it can be currently connected to Duplo’s collating systems or in future to Duplo’s dynamic sheet feeders, making it ideal for printers making the transition from offset to digital, allowing them to incorporate colour content and variable data into their finishing solutions.
