Bytes Document Solutions’ printing solutions were well received by visitors to the Africa Print Regional Expo which took place in Bloemfontein in May. A record attendance confirmed market interest in printing devices that deliver flexibility at high speed and with remarkable quality.

‘Visitors were keen to find out more about new technologies. The Xerox Versant 2100 press and the Xerox IJP2000 attracted keen interest,’ said Tanya Moodley, marketing director at Bytes Document Solutions. ‘We were also pleased to see that over 80% of those invited attended, with visitors coming from as far as Johannesburg and Lesotho.’

Attendance was up by 46% over the last event held in Bloemfontein. Among those were customers who have already signed up for Xerox’s latest printing presses and many more eager to learn how technological advances are shaping the print industry.

The Xerox Versant 2100 is capable of producing up to 250 000 pages per month at 100 pages per minute. The press handles a variety of materials including coated and uncoated papers, bright papers, labels, business cards, glossy brochures, window decals, durable/synthetic papers, greeting cards, tabs, embossed, polyesters and custom solutions. It even handles mixed-stock jobs.

‘There was lots of interest in the Versant 2100, particularly from operators whose work is currently being done by one of the three largest printers in Bloemfontein and who are now looking to bring their work in-house. Their consensus is that the Xerox Versant 2100 has definitely raised the bar for mid entry digital presses,’ said Moodley.

Xerox’s broad range of business solutions showcased on the day included the Xerox IJP2000, capable of outputs of over a metre wide and 30 metres long, the Xerox C60 and C70 workgroup solutions and the WF6705 wide-format machine.

Bytes Document Solutions was voted Winner of the Best Large Stand at the event. Moodley said the success of the Bloemfontein show is a positive development in the build-up to the industry’s premier event, FESPA 2015, which takes place in Johannesburg on 22 to 24 July at Gallagher Estate. ‘While the pace of change means a challenging environment for printers, new products from Xerox are equipping smart operators to meet market expectations. With modern technology, these operators are delivering on the demands of a modern market,’ she added.
