X Spark, an award winning advertising, design, app development and brand strategy studio based in the Eastern Cape signed the deal with expo sponsor Xerox for a Xerox C70 at the Africa Print taking place at the Boardwalk Convention Centre in Port Elizabeth on 18 February 2015.
The Xerox C70 is an update to the extremely popular Xerox XC 570. It features an updated scanner and controllers with media handling improvements. The Xerox C70 is a flexible and affordable entry-level production digital presses with legendary reliability and flexibility.
Sapho Maqhwazima and Khaya Cokoto started up their business 6 years ago. ‘After a bad experience with a competitive product, we had done a lot of research before making the decision to purchase the Xerox C70. As a small business you want to keep your prices low with good quality. Seeing the Xerox C70 in action at the Africa Print expo sealed the deal for us,’ said Maqhwazima in an interview with Africa Print.
Tyrone Zachariades from Digi Copiers, the Xerox partners in PE has been working with X Spark for the last couple of months to find the best solution and said, ‘X Spark have done really well for a young company. This production printer will be going to their Pretoria office to print marketing collateral for clients.’
X Spark landed the SAAB Grintek Defense contract in Pretoria, after Khaya Cokoto won the Technology for Women in Business (TWIB) Awards. Cokoto scooped the R1-million in financial and non-financial prizes when she was crowned the overall winner of the 2014 Technology for Women in Business (TWIB) Awards. They were also winners of the SAB Kick start and are the APP developers of an innovative new mobile advertising platform, UmoyAir.
